Everything you need to know about paying at Christ Follower Life — what we accept, how your payment is protected, what may appear on your statement, and how to get help if you need it.

If Your Payment Didn't Go Through

Most payment problems are quick to fix.

If your order didn't go through but your bank shows a "pending" amount, don't worry — that's usually a temporary authorization, not a completed charge. It normally disappears on its own within a few business days.

Here's what to try, in order:

  1. Double-check your billing address. Even a small difference can cause a decline. Make sure the billing address you enter matches the one your bank has on file.
  2. Check for a verification request from your bank. Some banks send a text, email, or app alert the first time they see a purchase from us, asking you to confirm it's really you. Follow the instructions in the message and try your order again.
  3. Try a different card if you have one. Sometimes one card goes through when another doesn't.
  4. Try PayPal. You can pay with your PayPal balance, a linked bank account, or a card saved in PayPal — including Discover. Depending on the options PayPal shows you, you may also be able to complete the payment without logging in.
  5. Try Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Shop Pay if available on your device. These can be worth trying if a card doesn't go through.
  6. Call the number on the back of your card and say:
    "I'm trying to place an order from Christ Follower Life. Did you see the charge? Did you block it? Can you approve it?"
    In many cases, your bank can help approve the transaction while you're on the phone.

Paying with a Discover Card

Discover may not appear as a direct card option at checkout. But you can still use your Discover card through PayPal.

At checkout, select PayPal as your payment method. When the PayPal window opens, look for the option to Pay with Debit or Credit Card and click it. From there, you can pay with any card, including Discover.

If you don't have a PayPal account, you may still be able to complete the payment as a guest — depending on the options PayPal shows you.

Payment Methods We Accept

  • Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and American Express — including debit cards with the Visa or Mastercard logo.
  • PayPal: Pay with your PayPal balance, your linked bank account, or any card saved in your PayPal account — including Discover.
  • Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay: These appear at checkout depending on your device and browser. They are the fastest way to check out on a phone.

Local checkout is available in USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, and AUD where supported — you'll see your shipping country's currency at checkout.


Your Payment Is Secure

Your checkout is processed through Shopify and PayPal — two of the most trusted payment platforms in the world, both certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant (the highest tier of the payment industry's security standard).

When you enter your card details at checkout, the data is encrypted in transit using TLS and immediately tokenized by the payment processor — meaning your real card number is replaced with a secure token before it ever reaches us. We never see or store your full card number. Only the last four digits and the card type are visible to our team, just enough to provide order support.


What You May See on Your Statement

If you see SP CHRISTFOLLOWERLIFE SHEUNG WAN HK on your statement, that charge is from Christ Follower Life.

Different banks shorten our name in different ways. You may also see a shorter version such as:

  • SP CHRISTFOLLOWERLI
  • SP CHRISTF
  • Sp Christfollowerlife
  • Christfollowerlife Sheung Wan

If the amount and date match an order you placed at christfollowerlife.com, the charge is from us.

If you're not sure about a charge, contact us with the amount, date, and the email used at checkout — we'll confirm it for you.


Why does it show SHEUNG WAN HK?

Christ Follower Life serves customers across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and Asia. To support billing across these markets, our payments are processed through our Hong Kong company. That's why your statement may show SHEUNG WAN HK — it reflects our billing location, not where your order is made or shipped.

Most of our products are printed and shipped from the United States. Canvas prints going to Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, or Australia may be printed in those regions to arrive sooner.


Foreign Transaction Fees

A few banks may classify the payment as international and add a small fee, even when your order is paid in US dollars. This happens because billing is handled through our Hong Kong company.

This fee is charged by your bank or card issuer, not by us.

On your statement, this fee may appear with names like International Service Fee, International Trans Fee, or similar wording.

We're happy to reimburse it. Email us at care@christfollowerlife.com with a screenshot or statement showing the fee, and once verified, we'll refund the exact amount.
